Keisha Courtney, MA, E-RYT, YACEP
Keisha discovered the power of yoga when she was in a high-visibility, high-stress career as a TV news reporter. Since leaving the world of media, K-12 private education, and non-profit marketing and communications, she’s found her purpose guiding clients through their own healing journeys – both in life and in death.
She is an advanced teacher of therapeutic yoga, creator of Alignment-Vinyasa®, death doula, founder of The Driven Yogi, and a Yoga Therapist in training completing her certification at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in the Berkshires. She works with clients 1:1 and uses the tools of yoga to bring holistic treatment to individuals suffering from physical, psychological, or somatic dysfunctions ranging from neurocognitive changes (dementia and beyond), emotional/spiritual distress, as well as acceptance with their life journey in death.
Keisha is a former competitive athlete (gymnastics, power tumbling, cheerleading, diving, and pole dancing) and her teaching style has been adapted from three decades of training, paired with various yoga continuing education she has taken to hone her craft.
Keisha earned a B.A in Broadcast Journalism from California State University - Northridge and an M.A in International Relations from University of Oklahoma. She is an Emmy® Award-winning journalist, and has been featured in Shape Magazine, Self.com, Yoga Alliance, and Fitness Business Insider.
